Souvenir banner featuring the flags and leaders of the major nations involved in World War 1, and an illustration of the Sphinx, two pyramids and an Egyptian on a camel. Embroidered into the fabric are the words '25th Battalion' and 'To Mother with love from Frank'. Private Francis Henry Staunton, a shearer from Richmond, Queensland, served on the Western Front with 25th Infantry Battalion, and was killed in action on 29 July 1916 during the Battle of Pozières.
