The central emblem, the winged centaur, is a symbol of human condition, shared between carnality and aspiration to trascendent. The paintings describe the capacity of communicating of man, thus he is uplifted with his Creator, but he is at the meantime pulled back by his own limits and miseries. The representation of the seven deadly sins are quite interesting: the excessive and foolish curiosity is added to them, because it is considered to be the origin of all vices.
