A Spanish 20th century (circa 1925) Talavera charger in blue and white depicts a leopard in a landscape. Blue and white pottery from Spain was a popular decorative item in the 18th and 19th centuries. Due to the high demand, designs during this period became simpler and easier to paint. The decorative element would also be more central to the end product.
