Special Agent X-7 is a 1966 film directed by Chung Chang-wha and produced by Asia Films Company. Currently, the only print of this film archived by the Korean Film Archive is the master positive⁕ acquired from the Hong Kong Film Archive in 2013. Unfortunately, it is a print whose sound is not combined with it. The soundtrack is lost. According to director Chung Chang-wha's recollection, Special Agent X-7 gave him the opportunity to be scouted by Shaw Brothers in Hong Kong. Shaw Brothers' president "Run Run Shaw," who saw the film, was impressed by Chung Chang-wha's directing skills, which were responsible for a thrilling action scene in a crowded city area in Hong Kong and offered Chung Chang-wha the best guarantee.
⁕ Master positive film: It is one of the printing processes that occurs before copying a release print. The film is generally developed from an original negative film into a master positive film and converted into a dupe negative film. Then, this duplicate negative film is used to produce release prints.
