Gold coloured metal spectacles with fretted design. The black leather spectacles case has a V-shaped black suede insert on both sides and a gold coloured metal top and catch. Dame Roma Mitchell was Governor of South Australia 1991-1996. Her spectacles are a personal item related to her public duties which included being the chair of the Human Rights Commission, Chancellor of the University of Adelaide and Governor of South Australia.
