Weed-seeking cameras use near infrared (NIR) and red light sensing technology to locate weeds in a fallow paddock. When the sensors detect chlorophyll, the chemical substance that makes weeds green, it triggers the boom to spray herbicide. Because this eliminates the traditional method of blanket spraying a paddock, the use of chemicals is significantly reduced.
