UNESCO World Heritage

At the center of the Jeju island, Mt. Hallasan stands 1,950m tall, creating Jeju’s unique landscape. Mt. Hallasan is a dormant volcano displaying pristine natural beauty throughout the changing seasons. In spring, royal azaleas blossom red between rocks, waterfalls loom in thick forests creating mists in summer, colorful autumn Foliages capture the eye and snow flowers cover all towering rocks and tree branches in winter. Mt. Hallasan is rich in bio-diversity, home to 4,000 animal and 1,800 plant species thanks to its high altitude and its sharply varying temperatures from the bottom to the mountain peak.
