Spring (Östra Vemmenhög, Scania)

Carl Conrad Dahlberg studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm. He is mainly known as a portrait painter and decorator. He also painted historical pictures from the cities of Malmö and Ystad. The seasonal painting of spring is one of four in a series that shows the daily life on the Scanian countryside during the 1860s. The other three paintings depicting the summer, fall and winter.
