St Barbara

Titian17th century?

Dulwich Picture Gallery

Dulwich Picture Gallery
London, United Kingdom

Apparently a fragment. The figure seems to derive from Saint Catherine in Titian's altarpiece of the 'Virgin and Child with Saints' of c.1520-5 in the Pinacoteca Vaticana, Rome. The addition of a tower identifies her as Saint Barbara.
