St George slaying a three-headed dragon. The silver-gilt icon was offered to the small Greek-Orthodox Armenian community of Vank, situated at the source of the Euphrates river, near Egin. The surrounding region supplied the Pontic miners with charcoal for smelting. From Argyroupolis in the Pontos, 1713. 0.67x0.51 m. (ΓΕ 34458)
