St John's Church and Tynwald Hill (Isle of Man)

This mounted lithographic view is part of the sketchbook of Sarah Jametta Crigan (Mrs Hodgkinson), the daughter of Bishop Crigan (1784-1813) and author of 'Memoirs of Major Charles Crigan' (her brother) Liverpool, 1864. The lithograph is cut from T. Ashe's sketchbook, 1825 (the series engraved by Haghe) annotated in the same hand and ink as signature on cover (1825).
