St. Lawrence Beluga whale moving around.

The only year-round resident whale species in the St. Lawrence River, its population is estimated at about 900 individuals. Its protection is one of the reasons behind the creation of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park.

It measures from 3 to 5 meters and can weigh from 0.7 to 2 tons.
