St. Nicholas's Church In front of you is the Church of St. Nicholas in Shevchenkivskyi Hay. Despite the lack of stucco decoration and gilded baths, wooden churches (also known as Kryvka Churches) are definitely worth your attention. Eight such Carpathian churches, similar to those transferred to the Lviv open-air museum in Shevchenkivskyi Hay, were added in 2013 to UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Thus they are recognized as unique objects of cultural tradition and examples of architectural construction illustrating a critical period in history.
