He stands raised on an octagonal plinth, one hand raised, the other lowered, round his lions a cloth tied at one side, his body pierced by two arrows and his head pierced with a single arrow. He stands against a tree stump. His hair is gilt as are the arrow-heads. The plinth is supported on as circular column, which flares out to a slightly domed foot. The column is engraved with acanthus leaf ornament. The foot inscribed with the date 1523.
