St Sebastian

This piece by Stefan Dauksz represents the figure of St Sebastian. The artist depicted this character in a calm, relaxed pose and placed a single symbolic arrow in the saint’s body. However, he did not emphasise his true martyrdom. The floor visible in the painting was captured using a characteristic perspective, typical of early Renaissance painting, while the architectural elements in the background show traits of styling.
