In 1930, the company Walther & Co. took out a patent for two different sizes of the construction set "Stabila – Technology for Girls in Sports and Working Life". The booklets for Stabila construction sets had instructions for how to build doll furniture that could be covered using strands of wool. This was the first metal construction set to target girls explicitly.
