Staging the witch torture scene in His Dark Materials

Each scene makes different demands upon the fight arranger. In this video Fight Director Terry King shows the cast how to convincingly stage a torture scene on stage. The Church's representative, Fra Pavel, orders Mrs. Coulter to torture a witch to force her to reveal a secret name. The cast to create sound effects which are critical to the scene's dramatic impact, without giving the game away to the audience.
