This 20th century stained glass window by Martin Travers shows a colourful scene of the Annunciation. Mary, robed in blue, kneels before an open book beside a jar of white lillies. The white dove, the traditional symbol of the Holy Spirit, is seen above her, while a ray of light pours down from on high, the Greek letters Alpha and Omega representing God the Father. The Archangel Gabriel, magnificently cloaked and with brilliant red wings, carries a sceptre. The initials RH are for the Revd Richard Hitchcock, rector from 1893 until his death in 1931.
