These two documents include the statements taken from Captain Gonzalo Gómez de Espinosa and the navigators Ginés de Mafra and León Pancado, by the bishop of Ciudad Rodrigo, regarding the seizure of the Trinidad and its cargo by the Portuguese in the Moluccas (Valladolid, August 2, 1527). It also includes the responses to 19 questions posed to Gonzalo Gómez de Espinosa and Ginés de Mafra (Valladolid, May 15, 1527), León Pancado (Valladolid, July 1, 1527), and Juan Rodríguez (no date). The witnesses were presented by Cristóbal de Haro to explain what happened to the Trinidad and themselves during their time held captive by the Portuguese.
