Ives Manufacturing Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was the first American toy maker to produce a dedicated toy train line. Like Märklin, the firm produced a range of accessories, including this glass-domed double station. Ives toys are distinguished by their colorful lithography and decorative detail.
