Standing figure of Pancha tirthi Mahavira, dated 12th C. A.D. Mysore, Karnataka state. The figure is nude being shaded by an Umbrella with ornamental pattern on its circular sides. Four seated small sized Mahaviras, the lower two with umbrellas on their heads, sit in the four corners of the circular ring. Kannada inscription on the pedestal. The base is brownish red colour, the front one with a geometrical design. The Swetambara sect calls this sculpture representing five Tithankaras as panchatirty pratima. Whereas the image is adorned by Digambaras as pancha-parameshtins, basalt, Kakatiya, from Koppal, Karnataka, 12th century.
