Detail of the statue depicting Saint Agapitus. . The sculpture, originally located on the Duomo's southern side, is today kept inside the Milan Duomo Museum. The work depicts the holy martyr Agapitus of Palestrina hanging half naked from a trunk by his feet. The artist, Marco Antonio Prestinari, was one of the most interesting sculptors of the early 17th century.
