A bronze statuette of the god Mercury was found in the area of ​​the southern gate of the Timacum Minus fortress and is dated to the period of the II-III centuries. Mercury is depicted in a standing position, with a cloak wrapped around his left arm, while holding a bag in his right hand. A Roman god who, based on the example of the Greek Hermes, had the role of patron of trade and merchants. With his wings, most often on his sandals and head, Mercury was the messenger of the gods but also the companion of souls to the underworld.
