Status of the new LINAC

The state of the new building for the new Linac in November, seen from the point of junction with the PS Ring. In the left foreground (images 77 and 79.11.74) can be seen the thick-walled enclosure for the accelerating structure and beam measurement facilities: beside and above there were to be constructed galleries designed to be accessible during operation. At the far end, the hall for the pre-injector and its high-tension set had reached roof level.
