This block was first considered important because several of the ribs were still in
articulation with the scapula. Full preparation showed us that a large back plate had fallen over onto the scapula /rib section creating a sandwich where the skin was protected, between plate and bone. The skin impression is flat with little to no wrinkles preserved, though there are bulges associated with the ribs.
