This floor lamp with record player has a 230 volt electric motor and probably came from the USA, where in around 1920 companies offered appliances such as the "lampophone" or the "phonolamp." In Germany, the nationwide connection of households to the public electricity grid began in the 1920s. The spread of broadcasting was accompanied by the electrification of phonographic objects. Purely mechanical devices still sold well at the same time.
