Stella was one of Australia’s most loved media commentators, comedians and disability activists. She hosted eight seasons of the television show 'No Limits' and worked as an educator with Melbourne Museum. Stella was editor for the ABC’s online magazine, Ramp Up, as well as serving on the boards of a number of organisations. In 2014 she gave a TedXSydney talk, with her characteristic wit and humour, where she challenged the popular culture notion of portraying people living with disabilities as ‘inspirational.’ She died unexpectedly in December 2014.
