Stephanie Allen
Business & Civic Leader
1937 -
INDUCTED 2006

Stephanie Allen envisions “workplaces where the human spirit thrives” — “and men and women work together as equal partners.”

Allen’s focus on elevating the status of women is not just to benefit women, but rather to benefit society as a whole. Allen founded the AthenA Group in 1989 and the Women’s Vision Foundation in 1997 to train and develop women as leaders and promote corporate cultures that assure that women’s voices are heard on a global scale. She was the first woman recipient of the prestigious Dan Ritchie Award for Ethics in Business. As a trailblazer for Colorado women, Allen has offered a guiding hand in many of the state’s women’s organizations. Founder of the Colorado Women’s Coalition, she has served as president of major women’s leadership groups, including the Women’s Forum of Colorado, the Junior League, and the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

MBA’s were invented by men to train men. They don’t acknowledge style differences in how many women lead and manage.” — Stephanie Allen
