This is a stereo zoom microscope in a wooden carry case with plastic dust cover. Attached to the binocular head are two eye pieces marked 'HWF 10x' and diopter adjustment ring. The eyepieces can be adjusted for different eye separation distance. At the base of the microscope's head is the zoom magnification revolver. There is a rack and pinion focus knob on the arm stand. Also mounted on the arm stand is the incidence illuminator.

The base of the microscope can be illuminated to allow light to be passed upward through the specimen. The incident illuminator provides the light source for reflection from the specimen. On the base is a stage clip, white plastic stage plate, and locking screw. A power cord for the light source is attached at the back of the microscope base. A removable drawer within the case contains two lenses, two screws with washers, a circular ring made of black plastic and a light bulb.

The instruction manual consists of 10 pages. The front cover has a picture of a stereo microscope and the title 'Instruction Manual Zoom Stereo Microscopes: SDZ Series'.
