Abbey farm stood where the ruins of the Abbot’s house kitchen are now laid out for visitors. Shown here are Mr Wass, tenant farmer and two ladies. The farm continued in use until after WWII, and was demolished in the 1950s as part of the Ministry of Works policy of removing later structures to reveal the core monument.
