Maragarida Yolanda Botelho de Macedo Tamegão was born on 16th April of 1901. Painter, watercolorist and engarvener, started her art studies at the age of 13 with the Spanish painter Ximénes and later with the Portugueses Fernando Galhano and Abel Santos. Traveled throughout Europe on study tours, during which she drawed and painted what she was seeing. She was part of the artistic movement Gávea, created in the late 60's, in Azores. In this watercolor, we can see her figurative facet, with a still life of autumnal colors representing a branch with oak galls.
