In the early 17th century tooked place in Utrecht domestic genre painting, typically Dutch: still life. This Still life was painted by Jacob Marrell during his stay in Frankfurt when his works was inspired by Jan Davidsz de Heem. On a stone pedestal a crystal vase with tulips -the stripes purple or red were the most appreciated and the called Semper Augustus and Viceroy-, roses, dahlias, pansis and iris. In the vase we can see the reflection of the window of the studio of the painter.
