The Hoover Constellation 86 is a vacuum cleaner with a pink and white painted spherical housing. The Hoover Constellation was designed by American industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss. The vacuum cleaner's inlet opening is at the front of the handle, and directly below that is a foot-operated switch. The top part houses the 750 watt motor. In the lower half are a paper dust container and the air discharge opening. A saucer-shaped ring surrounds this opening, which forms the air cushion on which the vacuum cleaner floats. The device has a permanently attached mains lead with a non-earthed plug.
