Gustav Lilienthal published the idea of .artificial miniature blocks of stone in a magazine called "The new kindergarden". These blocks made of a mixture of quartz sand, chalk, and linseed oil have been the ancestors of the famous "Anchor stone building blocks", LEGO and almost all construction toy systems of today.
