The stone chime with two pieces of chord pattern is the first discovery in the Shang and Zhou dynasties of China. Even now, when striking, it will make melodious sound. The chime is one of the oldest percussion instruments in China. Its discovery embodies how solemn and majestic the sacrificial activities were so that the ancient Shu kingdom hasn’t got an old saying of the place without rites and music any more.
