Small point or drill manufactured from a translucent, very light gray chalcedony, with a long, narrow triangular blade. One corner has a very shallow notch. Base is much wider than blade, thin spurs taper to points; there is a deep, semi-circular basal notch. Cross-section is relatively flat and uneven. Recovered from a deep pithouse in a habitation area at Pueblo Grande. Pueblo Grande was a large village located at the headgates of a major canal system. Occupied as early as AD 500, the site reached its greatest extent during the Classic Period. Museum Accession: 1996.17
