Stone Water Basin

This water basin was originally at the Heungnyunsa Temple in Gyeongju, the first Buddhist temple of Silla. It was probably used to store water or grow lotus flowers. The characters that are inscribed on the top and side of the basin were added later, during the Joseon Period.
