Heavily potted grey stoneware thrown to a bulging ovoid shape with shoulder and mouth portion separately throne and luted on; heavy contracting mouth; thick bubbly treacle glaze decorated with splashes of medium brown about the shoulder and body; area just above foot covered with thinner medium-brown glaze.
