Vienna-based artist Anny Wass has attained a diploma in design, sculpture, and photography. Since completing her studies in 2009, she has developed a multifaceted practice that encompasses a wide range of disciplines including object and painting, design, and photography. Her artistic creations are characterized by an emphasis on material exploration, along with a keen eye for scale, color, and detail. At the core of her oeuvre is a series of works in which the artist utilizes herself or her objects as pictorial material and employs multiple images of herself as building blocks. Through these photographic self-portrayals, Wass navigates between the roles of both object and photographer, meticulously documenting the performative process.
