Study for Aubade V is a study model for a new piece to be produced with melted barbed wire from guard posts in the DMZ, which would be a large-scale installation with a diameter of 3 meters and height of 4 meters when assembled. Inspired by Bruno Taut’s Monument des Neuen Gesetzes, the work adopts designs of modern lighting towers from various eras and sources, with LED light boards installed around each level of the three-leveled structure. Modern text, either in Esperanto or the Morse code, keeps flickering.
