Study for tile panel for Tabacaria Mónaco 'Frog taking a pinch of snuff’

Card made to scale for the door surround of the entrance to Tabacaria Mónaco, in Rossio, depicting a stork holding a box of snuff, from which a frog sitting on a lily pad is taking a pinch. The emergence of the Art Nouveau style can be seen in the drawing of these elements. It forms part of a series of decorative panels for façades, created by the artist, who also collaborated on the interior decoration of the shop.
