Bernie Zlotnick started in the advertising business as an art director with the Zlowe Company, and later opened his own agency called the Zlotnick Company in 1996. Among his clients were Emilio Gucci furs, owned by Antonovich International; Costa ice cream, Nation Business Products, Astarte cosmetics and Science Digest Magazine. Mr. Zlotnick, for 10 years a columnist with Art Direction magazine, worked for Young & Rubicam, the agency that later acquired Barnett-Zlotnick, a retail-oriented agency he started with Irwin Barnett. Before retiring he also served as senior vice president and creative director of Leber Katz Partners. This piece was created while studying at High School of Industrial Arts in the School of Visual Arts in New York City, NY.
