Danny the lamb is a character from the movie "So Dear to My Heart" released in 1949. The story is about a boy named Jeremiah who dreams of showing his lamb for a prize at a local county fair. In 1947 the Gund Manufacturing Company began a long-lasting partnership with Walt Disney Productions, creating plush figures of popular characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie, Donald Duck, Daisy, and Donald's three nephews, Snow White, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, and others. These days, Gund offers soft toys of more recent Disney movies like "The Aristocats," "Monsters, Inc.," and "Cars."
