"The Jungle Book" cartoon film was released by Walt Disney in 1967. It was inspired by a novel of the same name written by Rudyard Kipling. It features a young orphan named Mowgli who is raised by wolves and befriends several jungle animals. For his safety, his friends adventure through the jungle to bring him back to the man village to protect him from the tiger Sher Khan. In 1947 the Gund Manufacturing Company began a long-lasting partnership with Walt Disney Productions, creating plush figures of popular characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie, Donald Duck, Daisy, and Donald's three nephews, Snow White, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, and others. These days, Gund offers soft toys of more recent Disney movies like "The Aristocats," "Monsters, Inc.," and "Cars."
