Sudeley Castle was built in the 15th century for Ralph Boteler, the Lord High Treasurer of England. It was later seized by the Crown and became the property of King Edward IV. Katherine Parr, the last and surviving wife of King Henry VIII, lived and died at Sudeley and was buried in the Castle grounds.
