Suffrage valentine

This valentine depicts a little girl placing a heart-shaped card in a ballot box that is labeled “Votes for Women.” The inside of the greeting card reads: “One little lass / Sends one little line / To one little lad / Her own Valentine.” With suffrage memorabilia, illustrations of children helped to convey the movement's innocence—and make suffrage seem non-threatening.
