Sugar bowl, red earthenware, spherical shape with raised flower designs on each side, and decorated with dots and flowers in a yellow slip. The body is covered with a heavy rich dark brown glaze with high luster. The lid of the bowl is built up into a crown shaped ornament by coiling thin ropes of clay in spirals and scrolls; the edges are finished with balls and beadwork. The interior is glazed brown.Condition: Glaze chipped in places.
