Sujidate, Kyoto boxwood combs

These are combs for tidying the hair. They vary in terms of the thickness, and the number, of their teeth. In addition, some sujidate are used by Nishijin figured-brocade craftsmen. They have narrow teeth of an even length because they are used to pull the weft yarn aside.
