Sulphur-crested Cockatoo

One of the easily recognisable birds in northern and eastern Australia, the Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is also found throughout New Guinea. Sulphur-crested Cockatoos are naturally curious and intelligent and have adapted very well to living near people in urban areas. Captive bred birds have become very popular as pets around the world.
