Sunday afternoon

The painting is a unique work, an exceptional example of figural geometric stylization in Serbian painting. Risimović places his parents at the center of the time continuum as "monuments" of his time, where life pulsates in idyllic circumstances that could not be real. The scene is a moment of romantic calmness of a family Sunday afternoon, where the painter's parents, caught in a split of time, dignifiedly, quietly, without movement, spend moments separated from everyday life, which gives the composition a special atmosphere. A sense of mutual communication is created, which vibrates with color and speaks with a geometric drawing.
